IRRIGATION

At Semper Green, we offer all phases of irrigation services.

 

In the spring, we activate your system and thoroughly check it to ensure it is in top working order.

We also offer a monthly service where we inspect the system to ensure it is performing as needed. During the growing season, we also check any water features, treating the water for algae, cleaning pump filters, and ensuring that auto-fill systems are functioning properly.

Winterizing the system begins in late September or early October. We blow compressed air through the lines and shut the controller off for the season. In some cases, we also cover pool houses and outbuildings, winterizing pipes, sinks, and toilets.

Design & Build:

We custom design your system to meet the specific needs of your lawn and landscaping. We use Rain Bird products, and we still have a few Rain Bird control valves that have been in service for 20 years. When you find a good product, you stick with it. Our systems are designed with "head-to-head" coverage, where each sprinkler head sprays into another, providing an even distribution of water. This design mimics rainfall, and while it may cost more to install initially, the long-term savings come in the form of lower water bills. Even in very dry conditions, the majority of our systems only run three days a week.

For shrubbery beds and flower plantings, we use either drip irrigation or overhead watering, depending on the site.
